What’s on my mind

Been thinking about this a lot lately: taking an unreasonable amount of action in every area of life. That’s the work. Not “hustle harder.” Actually moving forward. Faith is laced with work too. Walk as far as you can see, and you’ll see further. That’s it, that’s the whole method.

I ain’t gone lie. It’s not easy, lol. It’s actually scary at times. Challenging. Painful. But the walking is the point. Standing still doesn’t make the fog clear, moving does.

And this was never only about the money. It’s about building a life that actually works — freedom, faith, the whole thing. Money is just one room in the house we’re building.

Building

Speaking of building — the site got a real facelift this week. Tightened up the homepage so people actually understand what they’re signing up for in the first ten seconds instead of scrolling through dead space. Fixed a subscribe page that had basically invisible text on it (found that one by accident, glad I did). And I finally got the podcast fully off its old host and pointed over to beehiiv — the unglamorous infrastructure work nobody sees but that has to happen. Slow, unreasonable action, remember?

On repeat lately

I’ve been listening to a lot of different music lately. But everything gives me a similar feeling. It’s hard to describe, so I’ll give you the top five and you can go check them out yourself. Listen to the lyrics. The subject matter is what’s interesting to me:

Strawberry Milk Cult: Frick! · Passion Mango: Joint · The Symposium: Going Undercover (insane guitar riff at the 3:00 mark) · Gerry Rafferty: Right Down the Line · Marvin Gaye: Distant Lover

Reading

There’s a book called Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss. Would take too long to explain it here. But if you’ve ever laid in bed staring at the ceiling wondering what life actually is and what you’re here to learn, this book’s got another interesting opinion on it. Is it true? I don’t know. But what do we really know. I like reading things that challenge how I think, what I believe, and that scare me a little, lol.

Random stuff on my mind

I’ve become fascinated with birds of prey. Eagles, hawks, that whole thing. Don’t know if dinosaurs were real, but these birds do some wild stuff that makes me wonder. Also been watching a lot of yacht racing on YouTube. Sailboat racing, technically. It’s a rich person sport, but it hits different for me since I grew up fishing and watching sailboats on the river. And I’ve been taking a lot of walks lately, trying to get back into grounding — actually touching grass and trees, no shoes. Plants are getting the same attention: philodendrons, monsteras, jade, ZZ, rubber trees, ginseng ficus, a few others. Hit them with organic fertilizer and an organic treatment for the thrips that always show up in summer.

That’s what I’ve been on. If you have anything interesting going on, let me know. A song, book, or a hobby. Reply and let me know. I read everything.
